A Legacy of High-Quality Health Services

The Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui-UMC has been committed to providing the safest, highest quality, and most satisfying care possible to all patients. Since our foundation, we have upheld these principles by adhering to strict quality and safety standards across all departments. Our comprehensive quality assurance system ensures continuous improvement, patient safety, and a commitment to earning and honoring the trust our patients place in us.

Compliance and Auditing

  • We conduct regular internal audits across all departments to ensure adherence to the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) Accreditation Standards for Hospitals and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Certified external auditors carry out additional audits based on international quality standards, ensuring full compliance with global benchmarks.
Monitoring of Patient Satisfaction and Key Performance Measures

  • We continuously measure patient satisfaction in all our hospital and outpatient departments that are reported to our executive management. We manage complaints and suggestions effectively to enhance the patient’s experience and identify improvement actions.
  • We closely monitor through live dashboards a wide range of clinical and non-clinical key performance indicators reflecting the quality of care, ensuring that all hospital activities and processes are optimized.
Highest Clinical Standards, Continuous Education and Performance Evaluation

  • Our clinical protocols and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated to align with the latest international recommendations, ensuring standardized, high-quality care.
  • All staff members participate in a continuous education program, designed around regular competency evaluations to ensure their skills are always up to date.
  • We carry out Annual Management Reviews to evaluate the performance of all departments and services to maintain the highest standards.
  • Multidisciplinary Morbidity & Mortality Reviews are conducted using a defined methodology to analyze contributing factors and implement key improvement actions.
Infection Control and Patient Safety

  • We developed a proactive Infection Control Program to help minimize healthcare-associated infections through stringent protocols and systematic monitoring supported by innovative data analytics.
  • An annual Patient Safety Awareness Conference, open to all Lebanese healthcare professionals, featuring national and international experts in patient safety is organized by the hospital, to keep up with the latest developments in the field.
  • Our safety program includes advanced surveillance tools using data mining and artificial intelligence to quickly detect and investigate patient safety issues, making the hospital a leader in Lebanon and the region in the application of healthcare informatics for patient safety.
Our team has also published multiple peer-reviewed studies to share its experience in the innovative application of medical informatics to improve patient safety in our hospital:
