The Infectious Diseases Unit at the Lebanese Hospital Geitaoui - University Medical Center (HLG-UMC), funded by Murex, was inaugurated on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

The event took place under the patronage of the Commander-in-Chief of the Lebanese Armed Forces, General Joseph Aoun, along with his spouse, Mrs. Nehmat Aoun. It was attended by representatives from Murex, Mr. Michel Helou and Mrs. Nada Safa, as well as His Excellency Bishop Paul Abdel Sater, Archbishop of Beirut.

Also present were Mr. Tarek Khalifeh, CEO of Credit Bank; Sister Marie-Antoinette Saadé, Mother Superior and Chairwoman of the Board; Mother Gabrielle Bou Moussa; the hospital’s General Management, including Sister Hadia Abi Chebli and Professor Pierre Yared; the Sisters of the Lebanese Hospital; the President of the Medical Committee; the Medical and Nursing Administration; Professor Roy Nasnas, Head of the Unit; as well as infectious disease specialists, intensivists, and department heads.
